I have four books in print: one nonfiction, two novels and one short-story collection. The nonfiction work and one of the novels are in their second edition (both published by Infinity Publishing, Haverford, PA). The other novel, *Factors Unforeseen* by Harvey Shoals (a pen name) was released by Infinity Publishing in December 2003.  The short story collection, while technically out-of-print, is available from Amazon’s secondary market of new and used, previously owned copies. In addition, I have posted two of the stories from that collection here at Authorsden.  In a few instances, I have posted downloads of chapters. You're welcome to save them to file and read them at your leisure. I bought my first computer in 1980, the year the first IBM desktop came on the market. I sold my pickup truck to raise the cash. I remember debating with the salesperson as to whether I should go for 64 kilobytes of RAM or stick with the standard 16. The salesperson said there was no way I would ever need more than 16 kb. Just to be on the safe side, I opted for 64. Over those early years of my retirement, I maintained an active website of my own and did book reviews while helping old friends prepare their work for publication. Word-processing machines were in common use, and tedious were the hours spent ridding text of carriage returns and non-breaking hyphens. Yet, taken together, those many, many hours helping others were the joy of a lifetime.
