Maggie Toussaint has worked as a scientist and a reporter. In writing fiction, she draws on her powers of observation, her detail-oriented personality, and her problem-solving skills. Early reads by Madeline L'Engle stirred her imagination and opened her mind to the power of books. Both reading and writing are strong passions of this new author. 

Maggie vaulted into the fiction market with three contracts from three different publishers in late 2006.
