I was born in southern Virginia and currently reside in Spotsylvani, Virginia. I am the mother of four adult children, five grandchildren, and wife to a wonderful, loving retired United States Army veteran. Throughout my life, I volunteered tutoring others in math and reading in my home. During the early 1980s, I was a Girl Scout Troop Leader in Norfolk, Virginia. Since my childhood, I have enjoyed reading, writing poems, short stories, drawing, sewing, crocheting, and listening to jazz.   

I became a published author in August 2000. I worked for the United States Federal Government and became the Union President of the National Labor Relations Board in 1997. I retired as federal employee after 21 years of service, and during this period, I achieved numerous awards to include outstanding awards. After retiring from the U.S. Department of State in 2013, I received my BS Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University in Washington, D.C. in 2015.
