I served a total of 24 years in the Royal Navy and Canadian Navy, in both submarines and surface ships retiring as a lieutenant RCN. My wife and I are retired and live on our beautiful 15 acre hobby farm on Prince Edward Island. We have two grown daughters and two lovely grandchildren. My hobby of antique cars continues to this day, however working on cars has lost its glow as I age. In 2000 I began writing my first book "Lily and Me" published in 2004 and I have sold a few thousand copies to date. I have wrote short stories that have been published in national magazines such as "Irelands Own" "Canadian Stories" and "Horizon". My book won "honourable mention" at the Los Angeles Book Festival in October 2007. In 2009 I published my second book 'The Royal Navy & Me' and like the first it has done very well. One new feature I added was to list with www.smashwords.com where both books can be down loaded to electronic gadets such as Kindle etc. I have sold dozens by this method, but at a $1.99 it will be a while before I order a new Jaguar!!
