My major influences in writing are H.G. Wells and Stephen King (Who I share my birthday with) Rod Serling and Edgar Allan Poe.

I began creative writing classes at Bishop Borgess High School in my junior year and wrote for the school newspaper, The Harbinger. While in the Marines serving in Somalia I outlined what would become my first book, Unauthorized Realms, a sci-fi fantasy adventure story. After finishing Unauthorized Realms, in 2001 I began work on Warpath, a crime fiction novel set in my neighborhood of Brightmoor,in Detroit, Michigan. Released in 2003, Warpath was a huge success and as of 2014 it's still being bought via Amazon.com. I sold autographed copies of Warpath at GENCON 2006 in Indianapolis and was working on a joint collaboration with Kevin Siembieda of Palladium Books. In October of 2006 I was published in Palladium Books Rifter #36 with the short story of the mythological creature NAIN ROUGE. In August 2008, I co-authored the story Peddler's End for Rifts: Tales from the Chi-Town Burbs for Palladium Books with Kevin Siembieda. I was a frequent guest of Joe Cochrane's Tv Show Write from the Author 2008-2009 at TV Warren and released Digging for the Truth: The Final Resting Place of Jimmy Hoffa in September 2009. I was interviewed by Detroit's Fox 2, Channel 4 and Channel 7 as well as Eric Shawn from the Fox News Channel regarding the mystery of Hoffa's whereabouts.
