I read and fell in love with my first romance novel 20 years ago.  I'd been vacationing in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula with my sweetheart (now my husband) and his family when I followed his mother into a used bookstore. I came across a couple of Kathleen E. Woodiwiss novels and decided to pick them up for my mom, who'd been a fan of hers for as long as I could remember. The ride home was long, and I ended up reaching into the little paper bag to pull out the well-read copy of The Wolf and the Dove. By the time we arrived home, I was utterly and completely hooked. I read a book a day for the next several years, from more authors than I'll ever be able to remember, and many I don't even read anymore. The transition to writer was a no-brainer for me when characters suddenly appeared in my head and demanded to be let out.  Only I discovered writing an entire book was a whole lot harder than I'd figured.  I have notebooks full of half written stories, but it wasn't until 2004 that I sat down at my computer and wrote There's Only Been You, which released in print a few months ago.
