Growing up in suburban Guelph I developed a keen interest in Roman Archaeology. The two do not appear to compliment one another as Guelph sits on the Eramosa and Speed rivers in Southern Ontario, an area not known for its Roman remains. During the 1980's and 90's I was employed by the Canterbury Archaeological Trust in Kent, UK and have gone on to gain an MA and MPhil in  Archaeology (University of Southampton). While influenced by such authors as John Steinbeck and Paul Auster, my academic research has taken me into interesting and little-known areas of British history. King Lucius of Britain, my first book, is just such an area. Residing again in Guelph, Ontario, Canada since 2011, I have written Sound Guelph (Publication Studio, Guelph; 2013), a history of the alternative music of Guelph from the late 1970's to 2000. Also with Publication Studio Guelph, I have produced a new edition of John Galt's The Omen (2013). In 2014 I became the General Editor of Vocamus Editions, an imprint of Vocamus Press, Guelph. In this role, I have edited and introduced Guelph Versifiers of the 19th Century (2014), The Star of Destiny (and The German's Tale), by John Galt (2015), and The Cromaboo Mail Carrier, by Mary Leslie (2016). I have been celebrated as a University of Guelph Campus Author for King Lucius of Britain (2008), Sound Guelph (2013), The Omen (2013), Guelph Versifiers of the 19th Century (2014), and The Star of Destiny (2015). My latest work is a collection of my short fiction, poetry and theatrical experiments, Little Plays For Attention (Fenylalanine Publishing 2025).
