I am a lover stories and poetry and started writing while in high school. I wrote poetry through college and continued. I began writing Fan Fiction; for one of my favorite shows as a hobby and posting on the web for similar fans. Many people were interested in the stories, so I continued. What I discovered was I was writing short stories and novella. Wondering if I could write about my favorite show, could I write stories about characters I make up?The writing began in earnest. I wrote what I love, mysteries. It was a learning process with a few manuscripts landing in the trash. A member of several writing groups and Sisters In Crime, helped me understanding the writing life. A hobby turned into a life's passion. My first published book Pennywise got me to create two of my favorite characters, Maggie and Odessa. As with most of my work, they reflect the people and environment around me. A native New Yorker, I love the multi-cultural nature of the city and hope my writing mirrors that. Pennywise is the first in a series of Maggie and Odessa mysteries that I hope to pen in the future.
