Writing is my passion. I'm happiest when I'm writing an article for a newspaper, magazine or Internet publication. I'm really happy when researching a new book project.Having been a chef, it seems natural that I would gravitate toward food writing, but it didn't quite happent that way. My husband of 33 years decided he wanted to learn how to cook...this from a man whose relationship with the kitchen consisted of taking his plate to the sink and wahing dishes. He had sent me a card and signed it The Madd irishman, so naturally I made him a personal cookbook for his birthday and called it, "The Madd irishman Cooks!" One thing led to another and friends and another writer encouraged me to write a book. "The Madd Irishman Cookbook...Irish Wit & Wisdom Meets Irish Cuisine," was released last February. Our dealers wanted more, and I self published "The Madd Irishman...Lore and Legends," this past February. I am working on several different cookbooks, and hope to have two or three more our by the end of this year. Without the inspiration and encouragement from my "Madd Irishman," and my friends and colleagues, these books probably would not have been written.    

Several feature articles I wrote for my local paper were submitted to the New England Press Association for award consideration. Though I never received this honor, it was wonderful to be condsidered.
