Born in the Midwest, I have always enjoyed creative expression. A move to the west in my teens proved to be an instrumental turning point in my life and there I met two influential teachers. Both inspired to reach greater heights with my written word.  In recent years, my renewed creativity served has a way to purge residual emotions and thoughts.  This cartharsis led to writing, poetry and a passion for painting.  During this healing process, my husband was struck with a major health crisis.  As he recovered, I made use of my down time by writing a memoir of my painful journey through domestic violence.  Eventually my writing evolved to my first published novel, Bound by Hatred.  Although my book is Fiction, I tried to accurately portray the horror of domestic violence.  Feeling I had so much more to say, I wrote a second novel, "Smoking Mirrors", which addresses the aftermath of domestic violence.  My ultimate goal is to draw attention to abuse and its numerous ramifications.  Below is my most comprehensive online Art Gallery - Please Click & Visit.
