Having Self-Published three books, I understand the value and importance of sites such as this in helping the Author to promote his/her works.  Authors Den is a really great site. The shear numbers of people who view my Bio and view my works as an author is tremendous, it is wonderful for the Ego. Many of my fellow indie authors are members here as well and I have never heard a discouraging word about AD, unlike many other sites. Kudos to the Den and all the members. I  retired with 21 years of military service. During my military service I spent 13 years overseas, in Asia and Europe as well as 2 years in the Aleution Islands. In addition to Combat Arms Operations I worked in Logistics, Data Processing, Operations, Procurement and Recruiting. After retirement I became a Law Enforcement Officer,Security Manager,Private Investigator,Firefighter Lieutenant (at age 50),Veterans Outreach Counselor,Personnel Director,Security Consultant. Now I am retired and an Author. I am a Freemason and a Shriner,and an active political advocate for Veterans Rights and Veterans Health Care. A staunch supporter of the Second Ammendment to the US Constitution.A member of numerous Patriotic and Veterans Organizations I likes Old Whiskey,good Cigars,good Books,Motorcycles,Hunting,Guns and a few other things There are many adventure and thriller Authors who have influenced both my style of writing and my love of adventure.The first was CS Forrester and the latest is Jim Butcher, with many others in between. Military Service and the Vietnam War were also major influences. .And although I have lived many an adventure in real life, I still love a good story!
