Arline Chandler left a teaching career in the kindergarten classroom to launch full-time into writing. She has found that RV travel fits hands-on-keyboard with discovering people and places for her many articles in travel, entertainment, and mainstream magazines.   At home in Heber Springs, Arkansas, Arline writes from her office in a house she has occupied for 49 years--around the corner from her childhood home.  Yet, from the window of her motorhome, passing vistas provide a mobile office with an everchanging view. On months-long trips across the United States, Arline travels with her photographer husband, Lee Smith, and their good boy dog, Spot.  The trio has logged miles from Mexico to Alaska, always looking for that special people story or a destination that entices readers to travel. In addition to writing, Arline has served as an instructor for Life On Wheels RV Conference at the Universith of Idaho in Moscow, and has spoken to hundreds of participants at major RV rallies across the United States.  She speaks on the subjects of writing, finding jobs on the road, and caring for aging parents. History, theatre, music, children's books, historical novels, travel, and people stories are Arline's interests.  She enjoys the natural settings in national and state parks.
