Christine Lajoie Golden is a baby boomer who was been writing for fun since she was a teenager.  Getting married and raising a family was her main goal for many years, and writing took a back seat.  Working as an RN to help support her family, she wrote only when the rare opportunity presented itself, and with four kids and a house full of assorted pets, most of her writing consisted of grocery and to do lists. But a wonderful thing happened.  Her kids grew up and her husband encouraged her to get back to what she really enjoyed doing- and that was writing.  First, she joined a writing group and learned about the craft of writing.  Then she discovered that some people actually enjoyed reading what she wrote.  She even managed to publish some of her short stories and pieces of flash fiction.  After realizing that things were quite difficult for the average novice writer, she did one other thing...she started her own Science Fiction & Fantasy magazine. (following almost two years of research and praying.) Now she tries to write something every day- which at times is practically impossible.  Sci-fi is her first love, but she dabbles in fantasy and mystery as well.  Her own magazine offers a wonderful opportunity for young (meaning new) writers to get a chance to get published, and for readers to find a variety of entertaining stories to read. 

Christine has published three stories online with Alien Skin Magazine. One story in the print edition of Aoife's Kiss (Sept.07)with another coming out in March 2009. She has had one story on FMAM (Future Mysteries Anthology Magazine), as well as few other. Many more are in the works.
