As a young girl I learned early on that I had a way of putting words together and could write poetry. I loved reading books especially romance novels. While attending church I learned that God had given all of us a gift and I truly didn't know what mine was; until one day I allowed a friend of mine to read some of my writings she encouraged me to write more, I then wrote a poem for a friends daughter funeral , this began my serious  writing of poetry  . I was a single mom and had a passion for the plight of the single Mom; after my children had left the home I had a conversation with my Pastor, my concern was I had no idea what God wanted me to do at this juncture in my life, all I knew how to do was be a mom. His words continue to resonate in my spirit. He said "if you'll allow God to guide you he already has a plan for your life" That was so true with prayer God guided me to start Brighter Day Ministry a support organization for Single Moms, this was followed by me writing my first book titled I will Never Leave thee Nor forsake thee a study guide for the single mom. That book was then followed by a second book titled A Legacy in Poetry. My new book "So You Wanna Be A Help Meet-Act Like A Godly Woman Think Like Christ was released August 2nd 2016 and is available on Amazon.com., Barnes and Nobles.com , Tate Publishing or you may request the title from any retail book store in your area.

Roz was named the Mulher Magazine’s 2016 Woman of the year; she was also the recipient of the 2011-2012 Outstanding Woman leader of the year presented by Raytown Women of Today. f
