I am from southern Ohio, where I grew up lower-middle class.  My father worked in a foundry, just as my grandfather did, until the foundry closed in the 1980's.  I spent my childhood hunting and fishing with my grandfather.  I learned to be polite, to be strong, to have faith, and to stand up for what you believe in.  My part of the country was especially hard hit in the recession of 1980, and I remember how hard it was to find a job at all when I graduated high school in 1981. Three books in particular have influenced my life.  The first one was a military history, History of the Second World War by B.H. Liddell Hart.  It is very hard to find and I was recently overjoyed to find it at a local Barnes and Noble. The second book was The Greatest Salesman In The World by Og Mandino.  I still read that book just about every six months.  It has reminded me of the proper attitude necessary to enjoy success. The third is The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell.  It has influenced me even more than some other recent books, such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad, even though that book has been influential in my life as well. I was old enough to vote for President for the first time in 1984, and proudly voted for Reagan.  My personal life took a lot of twists and turns during those years, and yet I was greatly impressed at how the Republican revolution of the 80's and 90's turned America around. In 2007, I received my Bachelor's in Journalism from Arizona State University.  I am focusing my efforts as a writer on the threat I see coming from a resurgent athiesm and socialism that threatens to destroy all of the gains made over the last few decades.  My second book, End of Days: 9/11 and the War on Faith is my first response to this new threat.  I also have a blog at http://inconvenientman.blogspot.com/.
