I was inspired by the Lord to vent my pains through writing.  So while facing the challenges of life storms oneday I picked up the pen in obediance to God and began writing. It became an outlet for me and over the years I began sharing my work with others. I was encouraged by a friend to put it into a book so this is what I did. It started off "Expressions From the Heart-Vol I and II then I learned there were books out there with a similiar title. So I changed it to "Healing Through Poetry". Which has been recently released and is now in bookstores around the world. At the moment I have 14 books in print. 

My First Poem- Whose Voice Do You Hear is published in Expressions II- the League of American Poetry- in June 2005

In 2007- My poem- "Wounded in the House" leads the way in "Forever Spoken" By the International Library of Poets.

"In Search of A Father's Love"- won 5th Place in the God's Poets in Print 2007 Poetry Contest.

"Fight Back" won 8th place in the 2007 Charity Poetry Contest.

In November of 2007 I received the "Editor's Choice Award for my poem "Why the Storms".
