They couldn't shut me up as a kid in school and still I have a lot to say. My imagination brings me places I can't get to by car. I thought I was in Italy until I went to Kindergarten with Italian relatives as my only social contacts. I lived on a main road in Westport , CT, with no playmates so I learned to hone my imagination in a big way.  I am famous at my house for telling stories on the spot leading in different directions and I don't know what happens until it does.  (hey, maybe I should write some of them down!) I am all about people and compassion. I am no stranger to pain and believe everyone has a story. My story is that I was surrounded by book characters my entire life. My parents were better as grandparents than as parents but they sure taught me a lot by simple observation. They had guts and creativity. My mother probably invented the idea of equality of women. I don't think she felt subserviant to my dad for one second. I realized that people are complicated and needy and was blessed with a sense of humor that is probably the cornerstone of my survival. Becoming a parent brought both pain and joy with my eldest child being the victim of medical malpractice that left him severely disabled. So I learned patience and had three more children, all of whom have extraordinary gifts and are multi-talented just like their dad who was my high school sweetheat. I am a political junkie, love to follow the economy and have made my money as a real estate broker almost my entire adult life. Get to know me through my books and I always invite new friends into my life, even if we never meet in person.
