British novelist, writing in the fields  of  Victorian gothic and historical fiction.  Favourite writers and major influences - apart from Shakespeare - are Charlotte and Emily Bronte, Jean Rhys and Joyce Carol Oates.  Gothic novels include Lily and Porphyria's lover, published by Simon and Schuster.
