I was born on June 6th, 1985 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I moved to the United States thirteen years later in early 1999, where I was reunited with my family. Soon after my arrival, I embarked the beginning of my academic adventure in Lewenburg Middle School, where I soon discovered my ardent love for writing. My urgent need to understand the new culture and to learn all of the different facets of expression in the U.S, allowed me to break out of my shell and flourished as a poet in my community.
