Being an Air Force veteran, and spouse of a twenty-plus year(s) active duty, military man,  has made a huge impact on the type of books I write.   I write about the children of deployed parents, from a child's unique perspective. Not all kids share the same thoughts, or feelings about their parents going to war, and my stories try to reflect this.
