We did foster care for 10 years and during that time we adopted 6 children that were our foster children.  Then we did a private adoption for our last child.  We did training for foster care and nothing that we were taught or read ever prepared us for what we went through.  So after the kids started growing up and having families all of their own we decided that we wanted to give back to the system.  It is a glimpse of what you can have and go through due to adoption.
