My influences are: A carpenter from Galilee, by way of the New Jerusalem; Dr. Martin Luther KIng Jr., W.E.B. Dubois, authors Claude Brown, Zora Neale Hurston, Toni Morrison, Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Cornel West, and Dr. Reginlad Martin (My grad school professor and mentor).

I listen to jazz, all things Anita Baker, and all things gospel.
