A retired political copy writer, Thornton Austen lives with his wife, daughter, and an ill-tempered basset hound on Swamp Music farm perched deep in Southern Arkansas. There he enjoys playing his fiddle on the front porch while contemplating the deeper mysteries of life at the end of the power line.
