My favorite career experience was as an insurance underwriter for W. Clement Stone.  It taught me to walk in the face of fear.  Then,  my attorney asked me to come to work for him.  I graciously declined.  I couldn't imagine working "on the inside".  He eventually managed to change my mind.  That was over three decades ago.  Since then, I've primarily worked in law but, for a few years, I enjoyed the real estate industry.
