Sylvester Ward was born in Hollywood, FL and grew up in the smaller city Dania Beach, FL. He was raised by his grandmother Annette Stone and his father Sylvester Ward Sr. In spite of a lesser relationship with his mother Andre Parsons, she was one of his greatest influences.
