I am motivated by rhetoric and how we use language to persuade. I am also motivated by Buddhist thought, particularly how it pertains to rhetoric. It sounds boring, but it isn't.

My fiction revolves around how people construct their own identities (ultimately through language) and how the reconstruction of identity--for one's benefit--is a skill worth acquiring.
