The oldest of five children, I was born in Refugio, Texas in 1953. Our family led a largely normadic life due to my father’s military career (retired USAF). I began school in Sherman, Texas, graduated high school in Sherman and attended a dozen schools in between. As a child I lived throughout Texas, moved to California, Japan and then back to Texas.
