I've always written and been involved in theatre.  I mostly wrote poetry and plays until my sister challenged me to write a YA novel.

My favorite book is Truck by Katherine Dunn. 

As far as influences go, I try and read things that are similar to what I'm writing at the time-get in the groove of the genre.  So, right now I'm reading a lot of YA and paranormal romance.
