I was raised as a Mormon in a bucolic little town called Vernal, way up in the Uintah mountains. Went to college at the Unniversity of Utah, graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts. Wrote my first novel "TO THEMSELVES UNKNOWN" in college, . Spent 15 years trying to publish it through "straight" publishers, finally sold it to Greenleaf Classics in 1969; it was published as "WHO KILLED QUEEN TOM?"
