My writing career began from an invitation I sent to a magazine editor to attend a networking party.  She did not attend, but was impressed by the design of the invite and asked me to write an article for her publication, which evolved into a ten-year byline and fashion column.

My inspiration comes from the legacy of my late grandmother.  At her funeral, I spoke to the family that our generation of grandchildren needs to think of her with every step we take in life.  At the end of every day, my hope is that she looks down with pride.
