I grew up hearing Zane Grey's wonderful books of the west read aloud by my grandmother.  It was a short step from listener to one who aspired to produce my own works.

My novels and short stories run the spectrum of dark to light as I draw on life experiences--my own and others'--for the meat of my stories.  My goal, even in the darker tales, is to move toward the light.
