Growing up in the city of Detroit, Michigan, Linda graduated from Cass Technical High School, one of the premier schools in the nation. Linda graduated from Michigan State University and continued her education at Wayne State University earning two Masters Degrees. Her first teaching assignment in Detroit was on the low east side, working with children for 8 years in a highly disadvantaged area.
