My background is in psychology, and I worked with clients for nearly 18 years before taking time off to raise my children and obtain a doctorate in Special Education Administration. 

I've always wanted to write, and this seemed like the perfect time to do it.  I started out selling mental health/relationship articles to print and online magazines, and went from that to short stories.  A novel seemed like the next logical step.
