Plenty of influences here. Clive Barker, Chuck, and I greatly respect Vonnegut, but I'm not too good for King. 

Where I originally came from in writing is really poetry. I learned to kind of shed that as I started doing the journalism thing. Eventually the style merged a bit and there seemed to be a narrative voice that I've been developing ever since. We're never done developing, I hope.
