As a teenager, somewhat shy and arkward around people, she found that she could best express her feelings and opinions with the written word. She was encouraged to write by a former English teacher because of her love for poetry. From poetry she moved on to short stories and even some of her life's experiences and lessons. She had a growing interest in human interest stories and writing to motivate and inspire others.
