Oh boy, where to start.  First and foremost, it's an energy within me.  I can't not write.  Put me in a desk job for a week and I'll fill notepads with story ideas.  I've read everything from Goosebumps to Stephen King, and don't think I'm only about the mainstream stuff.  Smaller words, like those of Poppy Z. Brite, are also in my collection.

Also, I don't stick to one genre.  If I'm not having fun, I can't expect the reader to.  Let's go exploring!
