Judith Mikesch McKenzie is the author of novels, poetry, plays, and (oh dear) textbooks.   In spite of that last, she has been a firm beleiver in magic all or her life - especially the magic of words and books.

The descendant of Irish and Bohemian immigrants, she lives in the rain-soaked northwest, which, of all parts of this country, reminds her the most of Ireland.

Once teacher, once social worker, once actor, she now makes her living with writing and art, and recommends such a life to all comers.
