Born in England, I came to Australia as a toddler. During my school years I loved reading and was influenced by Enid Blyton. My first novel was written when I was only 8, but where that has gone is a mystery.

During my secondary school years, I expanding my interests into music. My love of reading continued.

Finally I studied at Adelaide (South Australia) University, obtaining my Degree in Music, then followed up with a post-graduate course in education.
