Michael J. Kannengieser creates his characters first, then allows each one to tell their stories. His infulences include Arthur C. Clarke, Kurt Vonnegut, and Joseph Wambaugh. Michael's years patrolling the streets of New York City as a police officer has provided material for the drama within many of his stories, but his protaganists each have a strong devotion to family and friends, just like the author, and this is their motivation to resolve conflict.
