I wrote this book after completing my year long journey into the world of cancer.  My motivation for writing the book was highly personal.  I wanted to "get off my chest" as it were, my thoughts and feelings about this year.  Along the way I had many insights, and knew that my professional background was unique and could add to the story.  Thus my book was born, combining my personal journey with professional perspectives.
