Philip Oldfield was born in England. As a young child, he lived in New York and Connecticut for two years and still sees America as his second home. He has worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors in eclectic roles within policing, marketing, project management and economic development. His alma mater is the University of Exeter where he read an honours degree in Geography.
