Wanda has been writing since she was a child, but for publication since 1980. She graduated from The Institute of Children's Literature course on writing for children and teenagers in August of that year. In 1990 she completed a course on the craft of "Writing Children's Books". In 1997 her first novel, A Merry Heart was accepted for pubication.
