Destiny Blake credits her love of writing to early influences. She met William O Steele and Ellen Raskin when she was a child and soon fell in love with the fictional world of Beverly Cleary as well. Later, like so many young people, Destiny became hooked on Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys thanks to her grandmother who worked for Grosset and Dunlap.
