During 1969-70 , the USAF had over 500 crewmen held captive in N.V. and Laos. The need for a better combat rescue helicopter led to the Sikorsky HH-53-Super Jolly Green . I was trained in the -53 and was at Udorn and Nakon phanom,Thailand flying these rescue missions. I flew on the Nov 20/21 November 1970 Raid on Son Tay POW camp.
