K.D. Sanders was born on Halloween in Miami, Florida and raised in the Florida Keys. After graduating High school, he moved out to California to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star drummer. He played in several bands in San Francisco for years and moved to Los Angeles with one of them to "make it" in the music business. The band broke up after 3 months, leaving K.D. homeless, living in his van, unemployed. He managed to land a job at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. a few months later.
