Jennifer has always loved words. As a child, she read Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein, reciting their humorous rhymes to amuse herself, indulging in the sound of their words and the rhythm of their verses. She continued reading poetry, exploring the works of classic poets, but often felt herself more drawn to the poems she had read in her childhood. She realised that the simplicity of the language was the reason why she was enamoured of these children's rhymes.
