I grew up in Fullerton, California where my dad worked for Fender Guitars. I was inspired by him and Leo Fender. I did my graduate work at UCLA and became an economist.
In 1995 I sat down at a kitchen table with Nicole Brown Simpson's family to consult on the Bundy Avenue condominium, but the discussion was profound, and I saw the "people behind the statistics" in a whole new light.
I got up from that table with a mission and went back to school to earn a Ph.D. in Sociology.
