David (the great and gentle Psalmist), Emily Dickinson, an elementary school band director, a high school librarian, a freshman comp instructor (who saw himself very accurately in T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"), two excellent poetry professors, and one Texas cowboy.
