I was raised on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley of California, spending my time playing around farm animals, helping to milk cows, climbing trees and catching frogs. I loved gathering eggs and teaching calves how to drink from a bucket. I was blessed to have that kind of childhood. My books reflect a love of nature and a life close to the land.
