I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. As a child, I loved to read Nancy Drew Mysteries. In my teen years, I fell in love with the romance genre. I consider earlier Danielle Steel novels, Judith McNaught, and Linda Lael Miller among some of my favorite romance authors.
In my late 20's, I moved to the eastern shore of Maryland. That is when I began writing poetry. Two of my poems have been published in an anthology book. I quickly turned to writing fiction.
